What to expect?

The osteopath will ask in detail about you or your childs’ symptoms and general health. They will then examine you either standing, sitting or lying down, while gently assessing body movements.

It may be necessary to carry out simple examination procedures such as taking blood pressure or testing reflexes.   Osteopaths are trained to ensure that no serious problems are overlooked.

Most osteopathic treatment is gentle, and should not cause discomfort.   Most people find the treatment relaxing.   Some people experience soreness after treatment, this usually lasts no more than 24-48 hours.   The full benefit from the treatment may take 2-3 days to be felt.

All of the osteopaths at Embrace Osteopathy are trained in cranial osteopathy as well as in gentle muscle work and joint manipulation.
